My two favorite green cleaning tips have transformed our cleaning routine and reduced our waste drastically!
1) I've been using a natural all purpose cleaner for awhile now, using doTERRA's OnGuard cleaner concentrate
. The concentrate is plant based and has an entire bottle of the OnGuard protective blend of essential oils in it for germ fighting power.
It is super simple to use - just add 1-2 Tbsp of the concentrate to a spray bottle, and fill the rest with water. I use this spray on EVERYTHING! Toys, counter tops, tables, toilet, floor, etc.
2) To add to our green cleaning routine, my husband suggested we start using cleaning cloths instead of paper towels - to save some trees. First of all, I was thrilled that this was his idea! And secondly, it was a LOT easier to implement than I expected.
I easily found these cleaning cloths at Mega Market in Hanoi. I cut them in half so we wouldn't use a whole sheet for smaller messes. Now I just spray, wipe and toss into the laundry to reuse. Oh, and we used to go through a roll of paper towels every week, but now it lasts a month or longer because we turn to the cleaning cloths for most messes!
